How to survive the first night of minecraft PC
Minecraft is an extremely popular game worldwide
among children and adults. The game has two basic modes creative and survival.
The creative lets you have unlimited health and block and you just have to create
whatever you like. But survival mode is the real fun. So if you have started
playing in the survival mode here a guide on how to survive the first night.
First thing to remember is that when night fall
comes monsters will come and it is really hard to deal with them on the first
night so you have to make sure you have a shelter. The day is only 10 minutes
long so you are going to have to fast.
Basic thing in
minecraft is that you have to break blocks and place them to create whatever
you need. You can also create new blocks by crafting etc. You can move forward
in minecraft by pressing ‘w’ and you can go to the left side by ‘a’ and right
with ‘d’ and back by ‘s’. You can look around using the mouse and you can break
blocks by holding down the left button of the mouse till the block breaks and
you can use and place things with the right mouse button. “Space” button to
jump and “E” to go to the inventory and crafting menu.
So after you can move around
in the world find a tree and break 3 wooden blocks. Press “E” and you will be
met with the screen of the crafting menu. Select that wooden block with the
right mouse button and once selected go to the 4 separate squares on the top
and press right mouse button again. Once you do that go over to the single block
on the right click on the wood planks 3 times to make 12 wooden planks.
After you do that place
those 12 wood plank blocks on the 4 squares again (Note: If you have any wood
blocks left, remove them from the four squares) and by clicking left you can
get the wooden planks separately and by doing that place the wooden blocks on
all squares and you will see a crafting table appear at the right side square.
Click on that and move crafting table over to the inventory squares (The lowest
9 squares) and press the “E” to go out of the crafting windows. Now select the
crafting table by selecting it in the inventory by pressing 1-9. Once you have
the crafting table selected press right mouse button to place it. Once you have
placed the crafting table press the right mouse button again while looking at
it to use the crafting table. Now you will see the crafting menu and you will
see 9 squares on the top instead of 4 now.
Now select the wooden
planks again and put it in one of 9 squares and place and another wooden plank
on top of it and then press on the wooden sticks once. Then arrange the wood
again like picture below and obtain the sword and the axe.
The sword will help you fight against enemies
easily and axe will help you break wooden blocks faster (Remember each tool has
its own specialty but can be used for other purposes as well. For example the
sword can be used break wood blocks and the axe can be used to fight enemies too
but will have less effectiveness).
Then put the sword and
axe to the quick selections (the lowest bar). Now exit the crafting menu by
pressing “E”. After that select the axe and collect some at least 20 wood blocks.
Then make wooden planks from all of them (You can only stack 64 wooden planks
together so if you have 68 wooden planks they will go to separate squares 64
and 4 per each.
Now take the wooden
planks and select them and right click to place them to create a small shelter
with walls and et voila you have a nice little house. (having roof helps you
see inside your house and make sure you walls at least 3 blocks high from the
surrounding blocks.)
Tips
1) Keep a whole in the
roof to find out if it is day or night.
2) Take the crafting table
inside your house by breaking it and placing it like a normal block.
3) Make a door by placing
6 wooden planks in the left side of the crafting table. Then place the door by
making 2 blocks high and one block wide entry in your house and put the door on
the dirt or whatever you have on the floor. To open and close the door simply
press right click while looking at the door.
