The Hololens will run on the Windows 10 operating system and have 32-bit Intel CPU and a HPU (Holographic Processing Unit) custom built by Microsoft. It will have a 2MP video camera with an inertial measurement unit (a set of accelerometers, gyroscopes and a magnetometer), one depth camera, four environment understanding cameras, four microphones, an ambient light sensor as well as mixed reality capture IC. However this device will only last 2 to 3 hours on continuous usage and is not much. However this is not a big negative point as it is targeting business users so it can charged while using it on work. The device will feature a 2GB ram, 64GB of NAND flash storage, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 LE to connect to the internet.

However this device will only be initially available for developers in the United States and Canada. The availability is bound to increase with time and more and more devices will be available for purchase with time.

So will the Oculus  Rift finally have a worthy competitor and time will only tell.
