Virtual Reality is in still in his baby steps but from the
huge reaction its getting you can say this is the biggest technological
revolution that has happened since the release of the first Iphone. Virtual Reality is building a
name in the gaming industry and a lot of new games are coming with Virtual Reality
support. So I compiled a list of the best of virtual reality games coming up.
MineCraft Virtual Reality
Microsoft is bringing the popular block based game to
virtual reality. But don’t worry you won’t have to break your bank for $599 as
it supports the cheap Samsung VR too. The game already has many positive
feedbacks from people who tried on it at demos. The game has two modes, namely
in which you will see the game through a TV like screen and in the other you
will be fully immersed or as I would like to call it live in the minecraft
world (Now that’s just geek heaven isn’t it). The game will also support
Hololens or Augmented Reality devices too.
Arizona Sunshine
Arizona Sunshine a zombie shooter developed by Vertigo for
the HTC Vive is real is of piece work that is going to raise your adrenalines
levels. The game utilizes the Room scaling feature of HTC vive. The game sets
you beside an ammo cache and you are going to be shooting mindless zombies
while scrambling for ammo. The special part is that the action is so fast paced
you will be catching your breath. The game also features a mission in a dark
tunnel in which you have to light the environment by shooting your gun so you
will be shooting just to see if there is zombie lurking. System Shock 3
The long awaited Sequel to the System Shock 2 is finally
coming and a recent survey indicates that the game will have VR support. SHODAN
the creepy AI antagonist is back and imagine playing the already horrifying
experience on TV on Virtual Reality. The horror games specially have growth in
the VR industry and I think Other Side entertainment is going to make System
Shock 3 a success just like its prequel. (For newbies System Shock is a game
like Alien Isolation. It was release in 90s)Rigs Mechanized Combat League
Rigs Mechanized Combat League (Rigs in short for readability
sake ok) is a fast paced action packed game that allows you to control “Rigs”
or combat robots to fight for victory in arenas. The game has many robots of
many sizes and abilities. So the game is a fast paced call of duty/mortal
combat game that allow the player to choose his own style suited to the robot
he/she is using. But before you get your hopes up the game is an exclusive to
the Playstation VR.Eve Valkyrie
The
popular MMORPG Eve Online is going to get a VR brother soon with the addition
of Eve Valkyrie. This game is bundled with the Oculus rift preorder pack so
Oculus Rift preordered people you are very lucky and rich (Makes me jealous you
know). You have to play the game by spotting enemies by looking right, left, up
or below and you have to lock on to enemies with the controller. Eve Valkyrie
has been in beta since 2013 and I must say its improved a lot since. The latest
demo showed a new ship for you to pilot.
