How to Defeat Legendary Ships In Assassins Creed 4 Black Flags
Legendary ships are very powerful ships each situated
near the 4 corners of the map. These each ships give you a reward of 20,000 R
per a ship when you have defeated one of them and collected their loot. The

HMS PRINCE (South East
Corner)
HMS Prince is ship
similar to a Man Of War but with better weapons and defenses than a Man Of War.
It will try to outrun using its superior speed and use Mortars on you. Similar to other mortars attack you will be
shown the area of effect. The best way to take down HMS Prince is by using the
Chain and Ram Strategy, stay as close you can to the ship so HMS Prince can’t
use Mortars on you. Don’t forget to collect your reward after taking down the
Legendary Ship.
First try taking down
HMS Prince because it is the easiest one of the Legendary ships which will help
you to get prepared for the other deadly Legendary Ships.
LA DAMA NEGRA (South West
Corner)
The La Dama Negra is
very similar to the HMS Prince in terms of attack style but its main difference
is it doesn’t show the area of effect from mortars. One way to counter these
mortars is to not use a direct approach it in from a long distance, as it will
likely fire Mortars in your path which will deal you a huge deal of
damage. If you are trying to take it
down by circling the La Dama Negra slow down when you see it shooting Mortars
because it will be attacking where you speeding to. The best strategy take down
La Dama Negra is by staying close to it from the rear and using Ram and Heavy
shot on it will reduce the chance of you getting hit by its Mortars. La Dama
Negra sides are heavily armored. Attacking its rear will help you to normal damage.
Don’t forget to collect your reward after taking down the Legendary Ship.
HMS FEARLESS and ROYAL
SOVEREIGN (North East Corner)
This
Legendary battle is between you and two Legendary ships the HMS FEARLESS and
ROYAL SOVEREIGN. These 2 Legendary ships have lower Health than other Legendary
Ships but they will attack you by funneling you in between them and using their
Side Cannons against you. The best strategy is to use Chain and Ram strategy
and try not to get caught between the 2 ships and if you do get caught always
remember to “Brace”. If you destroy one of them the other will use a different
strategy where it will constantly Ram you causing lot of damage, so be mindful
to reduce the 2 ships health their dwindling state and take one them down and
then other using a Mortar attack or good Ram attack. Don’t forget to collect
your reward after taking down the Legendary Ship.
Cheat Infinite Money
Take down one of two ships
HMS FEARLESS or ROYAL SOVEREIGN and collect the loot and let the other ship
standing take you down. This help you to constantly take one of the two ships
collect its loot and let the other destroy you.
El IMPOLUTO (North West
Corner)
El Impoluto is the
strongest of the Legendary ships as it is lot harder take it down as it is lot
more aggressive than the other Legendary Ships and have massive Ramming power.
The best strategy to take down El Impoluto is use Chain and Ram Strategy but
given its superior movability compared to the Jackdaw, you will have it with
using all of your weapons and when get away from you it will respond with
Cannons so be mindful to “Brace” when you see Cannons coming. Mortars can be used to break its wide turns.
Do NOT try to Ram EL Impoluto because you can accept the fact that the
El Impoluto is much faster than the Jackdaw. But you can pull of a decent trick
by Ramming it head on and use Chain shot
to slow it down or stop it completely. After this it will maneuver wildly
and hit hard with Heavy Shot and Swivel while it does. Don’t forget to collect
your reward after taking down the Legendary Ship.
Rewards
Other than the large sums of
money received after finishing each battle you will also receive a new move when
you have defeated all 4 Legendary Ships. This is known as Charge Attack
where you will be able to dash for moment and increase your Rams power
drastically.
